Johannesburg Water’s planned maintenance is halfway complete, with the Zwartkopjes pump station now operating at full capacity. Areas like Parktown, Berea, and Orlando East are recovering, but water restoration may take between five to 14 days, depending on factors like elevation and distance from the pump station. Johannesburg Water has set up “self-help” points where residents can collect water from tanks and deployed roaming water trucks to affected regions. The Eikenhof pump station maintenance is progressing and is expected to finish by 16 December 2024.
